What We Believe
-
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and reveals His divine plan for humanity.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17); (1 Thessalonians 2:13); (2 Peter 1:21).
-
There is only One True God who chose to reveal Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the invisible God in bodily form.
(Deuteronomy 6:4); Colossians 2:9).
-
The bible requires all men to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (who was raised from the dead), repent and be water baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.
(Romans 10:9-10 and Acts 2:38).
-
Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
(Romans 6:3-6); (Colossians 2:11-14); (Acts 2:38).
-
The initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts.
(Acts 2:4); (Acts 10:44-46); (19:5-6).
-
Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
(Matthew 26:26-29); (1 Corinthians 11:24-30).
-
The church will be caught up (raptured) by Christ prior to His return to Earth (the second coming). At this moment all believers who have died will rise from their graves and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to meet the Lord in the sky.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17); (Titus 2:13); (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
-
A final judgment will take place for all who have rejected Christ and they will be judged for their sin and sentenced to eternal punishment in a lake of fire.
(Matthew 25:46); (Mark 9:43-48); (Revelation 19:20); (Revelation 21:7-8).
